3. Monthly giving

Monthly gifts provide steady, reliable support for peer-run programs and help us plan for the year ahead. You can set up recurring donations through our online portal.

4. Workplace giving + corporate match

Many employers will match your donation or allow you to give directly through workplace platforms. You can find FolkTime on platforms such as Benevity, CyberGrants, YourCause. If your employer offers donation matching, payroll giving, or volunteer-hour matching, your gift may go twice as far.

5. Fred Meyer Community Rewards

Link your Fred Meyer Rewards card to FolkTime so a portion of your purchases supports our work. Your personal points and discounts are not affected. Any Fred Meyer customer service can show you how to do this in the app.

6. BottleDrop Blue Bags

If you’d like a simple, no-cost way to support us, we have Blue Bags available! Fill a bag with returnable cans and bottles, drop it at any BottleDrop location, and the refund automatically goes to FolkTime. Let us know if you’d like bags—we’re happy to provide them.

7. Other Donations

To make arrangements for legacy gifts, appreciated stocks, non-monetary donations, or other special contributions, please contact: TaMara Edens at tedens@folktime.org or call/text 971-212-0558

Celebrating 40 Years!

FolkTime Masquerade Gala 2026

2026 is FolkTime’s 40th anniversary. It all began when people gathered in the same space where Free To Be Me meets today and decided they deserved support that felt human and real.

Come celebrate 40 years of peer support with an unforgettable night of community, celebration, and big FolkTime energy.

Volunteering with FolkTime

Our volunteers are the heartbeat of our work. They help keep our programs running smoothly, strengthen connections between people, and play a vital role in building a community with hope, dignity, and mutual support. Whether someone brings lived experience, professional skills, creativity, or simply a willingness to show up and help, our volunteers make a real and lasting impact every day.

Ways to get involved include:

  • Free To Be Me & Peer Programs
Support peer-led spaces by helping with meal preparation, welcoming participants, setting up activities, and assisting staff in creating warm, affirming environments where people can connect and feel supported.

  • Fundraising, Events & Community Engagement
Lend a hand with special events, donor outreach, community gatherings, and creative fundraising efforts that sustain our programs and expand our reach.

  • Administrative & Office Support
Assist our administrative and training team with organizing materials, data entry, communications, and behind-the-scenes work that keeps everything running smoothly.

  • Leadership & Governance
Share your skills and perspective by serving on our Board of Directors, helping guide the organization’s vision, sustainability, and long-term impact.

No matter the role, volunteers are valued collaborators in our mission. We believe in shared responsibility, learning together, and creating meaningful opportunities for people to contribute in ways that align with their interests, strengths, and capacity.
