Community Health Worker Training
FolkTime’s state-approved 80-hour CHW training prepares you to work in healthcare and community settings as a trusted frontline public health worker. Designed to meet Oregon certification requirements, the course is created by experienced CHWs and offers flexible learning formats—in-person, online, or hybrid.
Trainings
FolkTime offers many public trainings throughout the year. For a training that is Waitlisted, you may click the button to email to join the waitlist. If the training is Closed, unfortunately we are not able to accept more participants.
As a nonprofit, 100% of training income goes towards developing peer programs and the peer workforce.
Payments and Refunds:
All payments need to be received not later than 1 week before the training is scheduled to begin. If you are having an agency pay on your behalf, that invoice process needs to have begun by that point. In the case that no payment is received, we reserve the right to remove you from the scheduled training. If you register within a week of the training, payment will need to be arranged on the day of registration.
FolkTime will only process refunds for cancellations communicated at least 2 business days before the start of the training. In all other cases, including partial attendance, we will allow the registrant to attend another of that training within one (1) year of the initially chosen training.
